The death of the paramount ruler of Adara, the Agom Adara, Dr Maiwada Galadima, JP has been described as a great loss to the people of Kaduna state and the entire peace-loving people of Nigeria.
Lawal Adamu Usman (Mr LA), the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the Kaduna Central senatorial race who said this in an emotion-packed  condolence message, observed that the loss of the Agom Adara at this point of our national transition, is a huge setback in the national cohesion and integration drive by well-meaning Nigerians.
The senatorial candidate who commiserated with the late ruler’s family,  the Adara chiefdom and the entire people of Kaduna central zone and Kaduna state in general, called on the authorities to hasten the process of dealing with the matter appropriately.
“The slain paramount ruler was  indeed a peace builder, a humane, humble, decent and deeply detribalized leader who  lived a life worthy of emulation, the topmost senatorial contender said.
He lamented that rather than sympathizing with the death of such a great man of peace, some unscrupulous elements attempted to turn it into another condemnable avenue for the venting of equally condemnable pent-up tribal or religious jealousies.
Mr LA  renewed earlier worries over the unfortunate escalation of tensions ignited by some criminal elements at Kasuwan Magani of Kajuru Local Government Area which falls within his constituency.
He restated that he feels the pains of every member of the community that might have been effected in any way as a result of the tension which has  led to the imposition of a curfew by the authorities with attendant consequences on the everyday life of citizens of the state.
“Though normalcy is gradually being restored, it is nevertheless saddening to note that communities that should ordinarily coexist in harmony are often inflamed against one another at the slightest of pretense.
“It is as well disheartening that the age old brotherhood and trust that characterized communities in the state, including Kajuru, have today been turned into ugly avenues for the venting of needless tribal or religious jealousies.
“We feel gravely touched whenever mistrust takes the place of harmonious communal relationships among our societies, in some or most cases, violently,” the statement read in part.
The senatorial candidate implored the tensed communities to always explore peaceful, lawful and civilized ways of revolving issues and warned that conflicts, especially violent ones, are serious impediments to the growth and development of any society.
Mr LA reminded authorities, both political and traditional to be proactive always in conflict perception and management lest they are seen as mere organs that always react after the damage might have been done.
“Most conflicts are avoidable if only authorities approach their roles as guardians of citizens’ lives and properties with the seriousness they deserve,” Mr LA submitted.
