Aremu mourns Hon. Funke Adedoyin, Baba-Ari

The Kwara Labour Party governorship candidate, Comrade Issa Aremu has condole the families of late Hon. Funke Adedoyin and late Squadron Leader Bello Baba-Ari.
This is contained in a statement issued by him Saturday.
“Comrade Issa Aremu is saddened with the news of the death of a Federal lawmaker from Kwara State, Hon. Funke Adedoyin on Friday September 28, 2018 in a hospital in Abuja. Late Hon. Funke Adedoyin was a member of the House of Representatives representing Irepodun Isin/Ekiti/Oke Ero Federal Constituency of Kwara State. She was a daughter of Nigerian famous industrialist and Chairman Doyin Group of Companies, Samuel Adedoyi,” it read.
 
He observed that the legacies of the late lawmaker included her commitment and activism in the discharge of her legislative duties, especially at the Committee level. 
“The deceased was the Deputy Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Army and headed a sub-committee which undertook a tour of military barracks in the country.  She was elected into the House of Representatives in 2015 and had served as Minister of State for Health during the tenure of former President Olusegun Obasanjo,” Aremu stated adding that the late law marker was a pride member of the National Institute, Kuru Jos.
 
“Aremu commiserates with the Family of the deceased in particular, the Government and good people of Kwara State, the National Assembly and the nation as a whole on the irreparable loss,” he added.
In a related development, Aremu also expressed his sympathy to President Muhammadu Buhari and the family of Squadron Leader Bello Baba-Ari who died on Friday following the collision of two jets belonging to the Nigerian Air Force.
 
“Two jets belonging to the Nigerian Air Force on Friday September 28, suffered a midair collision at the Katampe area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, which claimed the life of one of the pilots, Squadron Leader Bello Baba-Ari while two co-pilots were injured and currently receiving treatment,” he stated.
 
Aremu said the late pilot and injured ones symbolized patriotism worthy of emulation by all Nigerians. He prayed for the repose of the soul of the late pilot who died while in active service and the quick recovery of the surviving co-pilots.
