The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Adm. Emmanuel Ogalla, has urged graduating sailors from the navy military school to embrace discipline and hard work in their future endeavours.

Ogalla made the call on Saturday at a passing out parade for 67 graduating sailors of the Nigerian Navy Military School, Ikot Ntuen, Oruk Anam, Akwa Ibom.

Represented by Rear Adm. Kennedy Ezete, the Chief of Administration, Naval Headquarters, Ogalla said that discipline, patience and hard work were critical to a successful military career.

“As we graduate the second set of our young sailors today, I reaffirm my untiring support for the Nigerian Navy Military School.

“I charge all young sailors to put the training they got from the school to good use, they should also be good ambassadors of the school,” he said.

He commended Capt. Ogbonaiya Oko, the school Commandant, and all naval personnel attached to the school for their commitment towards actualising the mission of the school.

“You have remained committed to producing able-bodied and disciplined  boys who are mentally and physically conditioned for service in the Nigerian Navy.

“The vision and mission of the school undeniably hold great prospects for the navy and the nation at large.

“I am deeply pleased with the level of commitment, excellence, discipline and leadership in the school.

“This event is to celebrate the philosophies of excellence, purposeful training and human capital development in which the school runs,” he said.

He said that the navy has contributed immensely to the educational development of the country through the Nigerian Navy military school.

Ogalla commended the graduands for the level of dedication and resilience they exuded while passing through the school.
