Governor Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto state has said that this week’s election will determine the country’s path to greatness if free and fair election is held.
The governor made the statement shortly after he cast his vote at Gidan Ja’oje polling unit of Wamakko local government of the Sokoto state.
Expressing his pleasure with INEC’s excellent preparations, Wamakko also expressed happiness over the orderly and peaceful conduct of the polls.
He urged politicians to accept the results in good faith. “We should accept the results in good faith and sincerity, and Nigeria should be above all our selfish interests. It is only when we do this that Nigeria can be on the path of greatness.”
APC gubernatorial candidate and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal also commended INEC for the excellent arrangements for the presidential and national assembly elections.
He made the commendation in Tambuwal town shortly after casting his vote at the Kofar Ajiya polling unit in Tambuwal.
According to him, “Nigerians should accept the results in good faith and be peaceful, and orderly.”
