Fomer governor of Gombe state Senator Danjuma Goje has donated 29 Volkswagen Sharon buses, 500 motorcycles to supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to strengthen the party’s campaign machinery in Gombe state.
The state leader of the party, Senator Goje also donated 1000 sewing machines to the admiration of the APC’s supporters at the gubernatorial rally of the party held in Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area.
He disclosed that the sewing machines were meant to empower the beneficiaries for them to set-up tailoring firms in the state in order to make them self reliant and employ others.
Goje while donating the items appealed to APC supporters in the state to come out en masse and vote the party massively in order to ensure its victory at the polls.
He solicited support for the Presidential candidate of the party, General Mohammed Buhari saying he (Buhari) has all it takes to change the fortunes of the country for the better.
Meanwhile, the state gubernatorial candidate of the party, Inuwa Yahaya alleged that the Gombe state government is currently owing retired civil servants over N8 billion which is even besides subjecting the people to abject poverty.
He therefore said it was time for the people to effect the change they have been yearning at polls by voting massively for the APC in the February elections.
