Chairman of the National Convention Committee and former Governor of Ekiti State,Mr Kayode Fayemi has insisted that none of the All Progressives Congress,APC presidential aspirants has stepped down.
“I don’t have any aspirants that have stepped down, I am not aware of any aspirant that has stepped down” ,he told anxious reporters at the Lagos venue of APC National Convention.
The rumour mill had been agog earlier with reports of endorsement of General Muhammadu Buhari.Other reports also said that Rabiu Kwankwaso ,Sam Nda-Isaiah and Rochas Okorocha, have stepped down for Buhari.But Fayemi said the reports were untrue.
Meanwhile ,horsetrading and intense lobbying of delegates are reported to the on-going as the convention drags on.
The list of presidential aspirants seeking to fly the party’s flag in the 2015 race include Buhari,Nda-Isaiah,Kwankwaso,Okrocha and Atiku Abubakar
