The rank of All Progressives Congress governorship aspirants has swelled with Abubakar Ismaila Isa Funtua picking up the expression of interest and nomination forms.
This brings to seven the number seeking to clinch the party’s ticket for the 2015 general election.
The others are former Speaker of the House of Representatives,Aminu Bello Masari ,Dr Usman Bugaje,also a former federal lawmaker,Senator Sadiq Yar’adua, Senator Kanti Bello among others.
Funtua would be taking a shot at the governorship for the second time.In 2011 he sought the office on the platform of Congress for Progressive Change(CPC)which ended in court.
An Accoutant by training,Funtua is expected to bring fresh perspective to governance and a generational change if elected.
