NiMet predicts dust hazy weather Sunday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted dust hazy weather conditions over most parts of the country, with prospects of morning mist and fog over the coastal cities, on Sunday.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Saturday in Abuja predicted dust haze condition over the central cities, with visibility range of two kilometres to five kilometres.

It also predicted localised of less than or equal to 1000m over the region,  with day and night temperatures in the ranges of 30 to 36 degrees Celsius and 12 to 23 degrees Celsius,  respectively.

The agency predicted that northern states would experience dust haze condition with visibility range of two kilometres to five kilometres and localised visibility of less than or equal to 1000m.

It further predicted that the region would experience day and night temperatures in the ranges of 28 to 34  degrees Celsius and 11 to 18 degrees Celsius, respectively.

According to NiMet, southern states will experience hazy condition over the inland cities in the morning hours with dust haze conditions in the afternoon and evening periods.

“Mist/fog morning and hazy afternoon and evening are likely over the coastal cities, with day and night temperatures in the range of 30 to 35 degrees Celsius and 20 to 25 degrees Celsius, respectively.

“Dust haze condition is anticipated over the northern, central and inland cities.

“However, early morning mist/fog patches over the coastal cities are not unlikely with hazy conditions within the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
