Christmas:Mark Preaches Harmony ,Orji Names 8 Prisoners Granted Pardon

President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, has congratulated Christians across the country for witnessing yet another Christmas  just as he urged Nigerians to continue to live peaceful in love and harmony.In Abia state ,Governor Theodore Orji granted pardon to 8 prisoners to mark Christmas.

Senator Mark in this year Christmas message to Christians’ faithful in the country urged them to always imbibe the teaching of Christ which preaches peace, cheerful-giving and above all love for one another.

According to him,  “Christmas is a season to give and expect little in return. It is a time to preach peace and exemplify it in line with the coming of Christ. And for us as a people, this is the time to forgive, be more united and forge ahead in our onerous task of building a very strong and vibrant nation which will be a pride of all Africans.”

He urged all Nigerians to continue to live in peace and harmony and to emulate the virtues and exemplary life bequeathed to us by Jesus Christ for the good of all.

Noting that “our democracy is waxing stronger as we stride in years, Senator Mark further assured that the National Assembly will continue to work in the best interest of every Nigerian in making laws for the good governance of our country.
Also as  part of the activities to mark Christmas, Abia State Governor  Orji  granted pardon to 8 prisoners to commemorate the Christmas season.The chief press secretary to the governor, Ugochukwu Emezue in a statement listed the following persons as the beneficiaries of the state pardon: Ngozi Simon, Ngozi Esina, Okwuonu Eme, Lawrence Egbu,Chibuzo Azuonwe, Sunday Amala, Chidiebere Jacob and Pius Anizo.
