Ambassador Nuhu Bajoga , the state chairman of the ruling People’s Democratic Party ,PDP in Kaduna is set to step in as deputy governor.
Mr Saidu Adamu ,commissioner for information confirmed to Newsdiaryonline.com that Bajoga has indeed been nominated by Governor Mukhtar Yero.”Yes,the chairman of our PDP Ambassador Nuhu Bajoga was nominated by the Governor) to be his deputy.The name was forwarded to our State House of Assembly as the Constitution stipulates for further action”, Adamu said in a reply to a text message.
A correspondent in Kaduna told Newsdiaryonline.com that Bajoga is expected to be confirmed today and he may be sworn in later in the day at 4.00PM local time.
Governor Mukthar Yero had pleaded with stakeholders at a meeting including Vice President Namadi Sambo to help him select a deputy to steer the ship of state.
Yero who was deputy governor became governor following the tragic helicopter crash that killed Governor Patrick Yakowa in Bayelsa state.Former NSA ,General Andrew Azazi and 4 others also died in the crash.
