The Taraba governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA),
Mr Julius Kwaghkar says he will address injustice and insecurity that have bedeviled the state if elected.

Kwaghkar, who disclosed this at a media briefing in Jalingo, noted that injustice was the major cause of insecurity and must be done away with to give room for peace in the state.

The candidate decried a situation where indigenes of the state no longer got things by merit but through their ethnic and religious affiliations, saying it was inimical to the development of the state.

“Taraba has the potential to be a great state but injustice and insecurity in the state is inhibiting development of the state.

“I am running because I have the capacity to tackle injustice and insecurity head on, in order to pave way for rapid development of the state for the good of all residents.

“If elected, I will run a government where all residents of the state will be treated fairly and will only get anything in the state by merit and no longer through ethnic and religious considerations,” he said.

Kwaghkar said he would also create thousands of jobs through agriculture, noting that Taraba had a huge potential in agricultural sector with the right climate that grows almost all crops including tea and cocoa.

The candidate said Taraba needed not to continue to depend on federal allocation for survival, having been hugely endowed with both agriculture and mineral resources.

Kwaghkar, the immediate past State Organising Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  and former Vice Chairman of Ibi Local Government of Taraba, said he would  revive the education sector to provide quality education for the youth for a greater future.

He said that education which was the bedrock of development of every society had been neglected in the state over the years, thereby leaving the youth with no solid foundation for development.  (NAN)
