The Untied Youth Coalition of Nigeria, has called on the youth, women, and all patriotic Nigerians to support Ambassador, Professor Iyorwuese  Hagher to run for the Nigerian Presidency come 2019.

This call was made Saturday during a press conference in Abuja. The convener Engr. Robert Chenge while addressing newsmen said, “Twelve months from today Nigerians will be electing a new president.

“A wrong choice could spell doom, while a right choice will be our victory and celebration. We the youths of Nigeria have decided that enough is enough and are no longer going to be passive observers in a nation whose leadership has failed to usher in development.”

Chenge said much of the country’s  future and that of the youths have been stolen through corruption, abuse of power, exclusive politics and clueless leadership. He also said low educational standards and lack of exposure have made past and present leaders an embarrassment to the country.

According to Chenge, the organization has decided on the criteria on the selection of Nigeria’s president henceforth, which includes, high educational qualification, hypermodernity, evidence of youth mentoring, understanding of leadership concept, diplomatic experience, courage to challenge public corruption, among others.

He declared that Ambassador Hagher has scored over 90% of the said criteria. “We  accordingly endorse him to run for President in any party of his choice that will also accept our conditions. We the youths of Nigeria will campaign for him and God will hear our prayers to heal our nation from her bleeding wounds,” he said.

A Nollywood Actress, Franker Iyina, who was present at the conference also gave testimony about the Ambassador, and called on Nigerian youths to support him to run for the Presidency in 2019.

On whether Professor Hagher has been contacted on this issue, the convener said there has been no contact with him, but assured that the organization will definitely urge him to vie for the exalted position, considering his excellent credential and impact on many youths of the country.

Other organizations that were represented at the conference include, the South/East Proactive Group, South/South Actualization Front, Nigerian Youth Front, New Owerri Youth Organization, Think Thank, and Project International, among others.
