Former Super Eagles international, Henry Nwosu, on Friday urged the Gernot Rohr-led technical crew of the senior national team to improve on the side’s technical play ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Nwosu, who was a member of the then Green Eagles squad that won the 1980 edition of the AFCON said in Lagos that the players needed to work as a functional unit.
The FIFA flagship event would hold in the Eastern European country from June 14 to July 15 in the Eastern European country.
The Super Eagles would open its account in the World Cup in the City of Kaliningrad on June 16 against Vatreni Kockasti of Croatia.
“The man in charge, the Nigeria Football Federation, the players they all know what is at stake.
“Give and take the coach and his players they are doing very well now, let’s give it to them, lets continue to criticize them constructively.
“But so far, we still need some improvement on our technical play, individually we are good but collectively we are still not there yet. NAN
