Vote APC, party of repute, integrity, Lagos lawmaker advises Nigerians

#TrackNigeria: A Lagos lawmaker, Mr Gbolahan Yishawu, has urged Nigerians to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming general elections describing APC as a party of repute and integrity.

Yishawu, representing Eti-Osa Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly made the plea on Saturday at the launch of his reelection campaign in the constituency.

“We are out to create awareness regarding the general elections. The mammoth crowd is as a result of what APC has done from Federal to local governments levels.

“You can see that people are happy with the party and those are the electorate. I want to advise Nigerians in Lagos State and other states to vote only for a party of repute and integrity, ” he said.

Yishawu, the Chairman, House Committee on Budget and Economic Planning commended the people for trooping out enmass to support the APC.

In his remarks, Mr Wale Edun, APC leader in Ikoyi-Obalende area of the constituency, said that the crowd was a signal for the admiration people had for the party.

Edun said that Yishawu and other APC candidates had demonstrated passion and commitment to the needs of the people, urging the electorate to vote massively for APC candidates.

According to him, votes for the the APC will bring development and progress to the nation.

“I appeal to Nigerians to come out Feb. 16 to vote for Buhari and other APC candidates,” he added.

The Executive Chairman of Ikoyi Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr Fuad Atanda-Lawal, stressed that vote for APC was for development.

“This is a walk for peace. We don’t need to cajole people because what the party has done will speak for it during elections.

“The impact made by Gbolahan Yishawu brought out this mammoth crowd to support him and the party,” Atanda-Lawal stated.

Prince Abiodun Abu, another APC chieftain in Ikoyi Obalende, expressed confidence that APC would win all the seats in the forthcoming elections, saying Yishawu had done well.

Abu, the APC Chairman, Ikoyi Obalende, who noted that President Buhari  administration had positively affected all the states in the country, called on Nigerians to give their votes to all candidates of APC.

The Vice Chairman, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Ikoyi Obalende, Chief Godwin Okeke said his people came out to support Yishawu for his developmental strides in the constituency.

NAN reports that the lawmaker and his supporters went round Ikoyi Obalende including the residence of the National Leader of APC, Sen. Bola Tinubu, on Bourdillon Road.

The team, which distributed fliers and stationery materials to people, sensitised them to the need to collect their Permanent Voter Cards ( PVCs) and vote for APC. (NAN)
