These are not the best of times for Ifeanyi Uba.Reports reaching us claimed that Uba “ is on the run” following the trouble triggered by the shooting to death by his body guard of a State Security Service ,SSS officer during last weekend’s presidential election in Anambra State.Uba was the chieftain of the Pro-Jonathan Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria,TAN.
Highly reliable sources told Newsdiaryonline that trouble started for Ifeanyi Uba after his SSS body guard shot and killed a fellow SSS officer attached to a billionaire businessman,O.B Jackson in Anambra state.
Newsdiaryonline learned that the shooting of the SSS officer occurred during an altercation between Ifeanyi Uba and O B Jackson in the course of last weekend’s presidential elections .Details are still sketchy but Newsdiaryonline was told that as the altercation between the two big men lasted ,their respective SSS bodyguards “pulled their service pistols.”
And much to the shock and horror of all ,Uba’s bodyguard known as “Stone” pulled his trigger and fired pointblank at his fellow SSS officer attached to Jackson .He was killed.
Describing the scene of the alleged murder, a source said “ the two principals were arguing and their two bodyguards pulled their service pistols.Ifeanyi Uba’s BG shot and killed his colleague “.
There has been no official statement on the development yet.But , highly placed sources told Newsdiaryonline that “there are very serious attempts to suppress this story of Ifeanyi Uba’s BG killing a fellow SSS officer in Anambra.
In a related development, a director of Finance in TAN who also served as assistant director logistics in PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation (names withheld) and a close confidant of a topshot in the presidency has lost $2million to her house help .The househelp was alleged to have stolen the $2m in hard currency from the TAN /PDPPCO official’s Asokoro residence.The woman from whom the money was stolen is equally said to be Lebanese -born.
As soon as the issue became known soldiers (from a brigade) were drafted to go after the househelp in a suburb of Abuja. The house help was said to have been eventually arrested .But the soldiers sent to her house made some startling discoveries.
The soldiers found that the house help had built a luxurious bungalow with lush furniture including a“flat screen television ,air condition complete with borehole” ,Newsdiaryonline source said,adding, “This may be an indication that the househelp may have been stealing from her boss long before this $2million heist”.
Newsdiaryonline was told that some undisclosed amount of money has been recovered from the househelp already.Perhaps there could be further hope of recovery of money as ,one source said the house help claimed she also sent part of the stolen money to her native doctor in Kogi State.
