Sales rep docked for allegedly stealing employer’s iPhones valued N2.7m

The Police in Lagos on Thursday arraigned a 39- year-old man, Fola Aladesanmi, in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing his employer ‘s iPhones  valued N2.7million.

The defendant, a sales representative at UN Phones, resides at Sadiku Street, Abule – Egba, Lagos, is charged for conspiracy and stealing.

The prosecutor, Insp Samuel Mishozunnu told the court that the offences were committed between January  and May at No 9, Ositalu St., Computer Village, Ikeja.

The prosecutor said that the defendant stole six iPhones valued, N2.7million, belonging to his employer, Mrs Ugochi Nvene.

The prosecutor said that one of the phones was tracked to the buyer.

The offences according to the prosecutor contravened Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, Mrs F. D Hughes granted the defendant a bail of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

Hughes adjourned the case until July 26, for mention.(NAN)
