Her Royal Majesty, Queen Akasoba Duke-Abiola, the Akasoba of Kalabari and Chairperson, Akasoba Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution (ACPCR), has once more urged the Boko Haram sect to release the Chibok school girls without further delay to enable them reunite with their families.
Queen Akasoba Duke-Abiola who has been working quietly with some of the finest Security Experts to facilitate the release of the kidnapped Chibok girls urged every citizen to be vigilant and be on the look out for the girls.
She directed the investigative arm of the ACPCR (the Strawberry Group) to interface with the Boko Haram members wherever they might be and plead with them to “Let the Chibok Girls Go”.
She stated that the Akasoba Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution’s (ACPCR’s) had adopted pragmatic and sincere approach to reach out to Boko Haram on the Chibok school girls.
Queen Akasoba Duke-Abiola expressed worry over the demand of Boko Haram to exchange the school girls with captured insurgents, the abrogation of our National Anthem and the abolition of democracy in the country.
The ACPCR Chair remarked that the continuous and harrowing abduction of the Chibok school girls is not only abominable but a crime against humanity and pledged to continue the peaceful campaign for the safe release of the abducted girls.
The ACPCR’s promised to rehabilitate the girls upon their release to further their educational pursuit. The body further urges Boko Haram to drop their arms and ammunitions and embrace peace.
It expressed optimism that very soon the Boko Haramists will have to simply Let the Chibok girls go in the interest of National and Global Peace.
