A political group formed by the former leaders of the parties (ANPP, ACN and CPC) that merged into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto state, has alleged that the Deputy National Chairman of the party, Aminu Masari should be called to order for fanning embers of crisis in the party in Sokoto state.

Briefing Journalists on the issue as part of the resolutions reached at the end of their meeting, on Saturday in Sokoto, former Sokoto State Secretary of ACN, Nasiru Kalambaina alleged that “Masari was bent on destabilizing the APC with the intent of sanctioning and shaping it.”

We are calling on Masari to desist from funding the crisis in Sokoto state and instead, concentrate on building the APC in Katsina state.”

The group dismissed the Masari Report, which states that any Governor that defected to the APC is its leader in that particular state.

While adding that the group was behind the national leadership of the party “in its bid to wrest power from the PDP and reposition Nigeria to the path of greatness,” Kalambaina maintained that Attahiru Bafarawa is the leader of the APC in Sokoto state.

“We are solidly behind him in taking any legal and political position to protect the sanctity of our great party, including its constitution,” the group maintained.
There was no response from Masari at the time of posting this story.
