“We are proud of your active, intelligent and selfless service to humanity and provision of peace and tranquility within the state through moral boosting programmes for the personnel.

“In the course of our work of balance reportage, we have come across many people who are shining examples in their fields of endeavour.

“There are many Nigerians who go beyond the call of duty in their respective chosen carriers and professions. Dr Hammed Abodunrin falls into the category and, therefore, deserves to be recognised, decorated and appreciated.

“This is the more reason we need to support the Federal Government in strengthening the corps and speak against any move to merge NSCDC with any other organisation,” he said.

In his response, Abodunrin appreciated the board of directors of TNNTV channels for conferring with the award.

Abodunrin, who appreciated the NSCDC Commandant-General, Dr Ahmed Audi, for the opportunity given to him to serve, dedicated the award to his lieutenants for their support.

“I am happy to receive this award and thank the men and personnel of NSCDC, Ondo State command, for their support. I can assure you that this award will encourage me to do more,” he said.

Abodunrin encouraged the students of Federal University of Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), who were in the command for their industrial attachment, to be selfless and dedicated to their life goals. (NAN)
