The All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Candidate ,General Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday evening officially announced Professor Femi Osinbanjo as his running mate for the 2015 race.
Osinbanjo who was named by the general was also presented before newsmen at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja.That brings to an end speculations over who would eventually be on the APC ticket with Buhari.
It was apparently a difficult decision to make as the announcement took almost a whole day.Journalists had waited from morning till some minutes past 4.00pm when the presentation began.
Osinbanjo in his remarks afterwards accepted the nomination.He pledged to work alongside Buhari fora new Nigeria.He also extolled the sterling qualities of the APC presidential candidate.
Shortly before the presentation of Buhari’s reunning mate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former governor of Lagos State under whom Osinbajo served as Attorney General announced his withdrawal from the VP race.
