Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce Industries Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has revealed that the slow recovery of the economy has made Nigerians to ‘cut their coats according to their cloth’.
According to the Niger state NACCIMA Director General, Alhaji Adamu Salihu, Nigerians are no more living lives of pretence.
Speaking to newsmen in Minna, Salihu said that the economy of the Nation is not moving as fast as expected despite Nigeria coming out of recession stating that this has reduced Nigerians to size.
“Nigerians are no longer living in pretences the economy has cut us to size the way people spend money has been reduced, the fight against corruption has reduced us to size”.
Despite Nigeria coming out of recession the has said the the economy of the country is not moving as fast as expected.
He then called on federal and state governments to do more in revitalising the economy while urging Nigerians to patronize local businesses as “offshore firms is only contributing to capital flight.”
The Director General also disclosed that proprietors of ten small scale enterprises in Niger state had recently returned from a trade mission abroad where they were able to attract some foreign enterprises to Niger state in the areas of supply of plastic making, feed mill and food processing machineries.
He said the equipment directly purchased would save the businessmen over N20,000 adding that they would start arriving the country in January next year.
