A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Wise Women with Initiatives (WWI), has given an award to the Project Director of “Ability in Disability (AID) Talent Hunt Show“, Mr Nick Bebiem.

The award, according to the President and Founder of WWI, Chinyere Francis, is in recognition of his unwavering support for girls and women in 2021.

While accepting the award on Sunday in Abuja, Bebiem applauded WWI for its effort in ensuring that young girls are in school.

He urged the group to remain resilient and dodged in the pursuit of its goals and objectives of giving hope to young girls who have yet to find their feet and women who needed to be empowered in order to support their families.

According to Bebiem, the recognition given him by WWI is “a great motivation“ for him to partner with similar NGOs.

“I am willing to partner with more NGOs and even individuals who are contributing to bettering the life of the girl-child and also the boy-child,“ he said.

In her remarks, WWI founder said that the organisation was elated to honour a man with the award.

She noted that Bebiem had a lot of respect for women and described him as a man of “great integrity“.

Francis pointed out that Bebiem was actively involved in all WWI activities all through the outgoing year.

“We were engaged in various activities ranging from educational and literacy projects and also humanitarian service projects such as women empowerment programmes,“ she said.

She said WWI was willing to do more in advocacy for the girl and boy child and also women (NAN)
