Leadership of Nigeria Community Movement Party (NCMP), has expressed satisfaction with the unprecedented acceptance it is gaining from people across the country, saying ‘‘it is a sure mark of victory in this year’s general elections.’’
The NCMP in a statement made available to journalists also noted that its ‘‘ideology of putting community first in the quest to build a better Nigeria, is a unique selling point of the NCMP.’’
The statement quoted presidential candidate and National Chairman of the party, Comrade Babatunde Ademola, as saying that ‘‘so far the acceptance of our campaign messages has been unprecedented. And, this will invariably translate into victory for us at all levels of the upcoming polls.’’
‘‘I (Ademola ) is the only one set to receive the mantle of leadership from President Muhammadu Buhari, my assurances are based on the trust Nigerians have on me to provide good, sincere, transparent, selfless leadership that depends on economic vitality, justice for all, equity, love and unity.
‘‘In reality, this is the time for trustworthy leadership and honest talk and actions about the challenges we face. Our country of birth and our people cannot afford the status quo.
‘‘We must start afresh with profound changes in the way government operates, the way it budgets, taxes, and policy regulation,’’ the statement read in parts.
It also reaffirmed the commitment of the NCMP to make 85% of Nigerians card carrying members, as well as continue to educate people in the country on the need to maintain peace and order for a united and prosperous Nigeria.
