Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of Kano state has said that his government is willing to partner with anybody that will be beneficial to the people of the state. He said this when he received the Iranian Ambassador to Nigeria,Mr. S. Koozechi at the Kano Governor’s Lodge, Aminu Kano House, Asokoro, Abuja, today, Saturday.
He said Kano is expanding in all areas therefore “our hands are open and will continue to work with like minds, individuals or institutions, for mutual benefit of both all parties.”
He assured the ambassador of every support and assistance that will make his assignment in Nigeria a success and pledged to look into the possibility of honouring the invitation extended to him and other leaders leaders of big cities that are members of G-8 economic block by the Mayor of Tehran.
Speaking earlier, Amb. Koozechi, commended Gov. Kwankwaso for his giant strides, especially in the area of education, and pledged his countries cooperation in this regard. He also informed that the governor that there are many other areas that could be looked into especially those of medicine and pharmaceuticals in which his country has so much advanced.
He then extended the Mayor of Tehran’s invitation and appealed to the governor to stay for additional one or two days after the programme to enable him visit industrial areas, underground road networks and the monorails that have eased the movement of people in Teheran and other areas.
