#TrackNigeria: The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Niger State says it has completed the distribution of election materials to facilitate smooth conduct of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly election across the 25 Local Government Areas of the state.
Mr Samuel Egwu, Niger State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), disclosed this in an interview on Friday in Minna.
“We are fully ready for the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections with our trained 23,000 electoral personnel already deployed to all polling units across our state,” he said.
Egwu said that the commission distributed election materials across the 25 local areas between Thursday and Friday under tight security cover.
He expressed confidence the rescheduled elections would be successful.
“We have prepared and equipped our personnel with basic electoral knowledge for the conduct of free, fair and transparent elections. (NAN)
