The All Progressives Congress ,APC candidate and former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir El Rufai has been declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC as the winner of Kaduna State gubernatorial election .He defeated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate and incumbent governor ,Mukthar Yero.
Declaring the result Sunday ,the returning officer for the state said El-Rufai polled 1,117,635 votes while Yero garnered 485,833 votes.
Even before the winner was formally declared, Governor Yero had conceded defeat by calling el Rufai at 3.00 pm today.
