Member, representing Tambuwal/Kebbe Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdussamad Dasuki Sunday donated N1 million to victims of the flood disaster in Kebbe local government area of Sokoto state.
The incident, which occurred Friday rendered many homeless as well as destroyed farmlands, animals, etc.
Represented by Alhaji Attahiru Dan-Madi, Dasuki commiserated with the victims and called on well-meaning individuals to come to the aid of the victims. He also promised to present their plight to the National Assembly.
“As your representative I want to assure you that I will forward this incident to the National Assembly for immediate support and assistance by relevant Federal Government agencies,” he said.
The District Head of Kebbe, Alhaji Abubakar Kasimu, represented by Alhaji Labbo Kabi commended Dasuki for the support.
“We are presently assessing the number of victims and extent of damages. I assure you that this assistance will be disbursed to the right beneficiaries,” he said.
Some of the victims commended Dasuki, adding that the flood had affected their means of livelihood.
