Golf: Nigeria/Ghana Clash In Accra

    President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator David Mark is among Golfers who will contend with their Ghanaian counterparts in an international match in Accra, Ghana on Saturday.

    Senator Mark and other golfers including Liberian Chief of Defence Staff Major- General Suraj Abdulrahman , Dr. John Eimonye, Uche Okpuno,Ade Young and Amos Korblah had practice sessions to perfect their skills ahead of the encounter.

    The international Golf match play is between Otukpo club of Nigeria and Tema club of Ghana.

    It is among other things aimed at exposing the young players in the Nigerian team most of whom are seeking to represent the nation at the forthcoming Rio 2016 Olympics.

    Co ordinator of the Nigerian team and special Adviser to the President of the Senate on Sports, Dr. Peter Deshi told Journalists on arrival in Accra that the two teams are looking forward to an exciting game.

    The tournament ends on Sunday with presentation of prizes and trophy to winners.
