The Commissioner of Police,Lagos State,CP Zubairu Muazu has ordered the Criminal Investigation Department, (CID) Yaba to take over the investigation into the case of
one Jessica a female lodger in Southbound Hotel, Morogbo who was found dead in her Hotel room.
Lagos Police Command Spokesman,DSP Bala Elkana who disclosed this in a statement also provide insight into what homicide detectives who visited the scene found.
According to Elkana, the “Corpse of the deceased person was found on the bed facing up, with swollen face and foam- like fluid out of her mouth. Her throat was knotted with clothes suggesting that she might have been strangulated.
He added that “There were blood stains all over the place. The corpse was evacuated to mortuary for autopsy while the scene was preserved for forensic analysis.”
Car Snatching Ring Leader arrested
Also, on the 9th of August, Anti Crime Patrol Team from Satellite Police Station foiled an attempt by a car snatching syndicate to snatch a Peugeot 307 salon car at Mosalachi area, along Lagos /Badagry expressway, Mile 2.
Elkana said “One Francis Abubakar ‘m’ who is the ring leader of the gang was arrested. One locally made shotgun was recovered from the suspect.
“The Peugeot 307 was recovered and handed over to the owner. SARS has taken over the case with a view of apprehending other members of the gang. Investigation is ongoing, suspect will be charged to Court.”
