For the second day running , more suicide bombing incidents have been recorded in Kano city .The first on Monday was as a female suicide bomber who blew herself up at a petrol station, according to reports by Reuters.
A military source told the news agency that one other person was killed . But Musa Magaji Majia, the state’s police spokesman reportedly said , “A female suicide bomber detonated an explosive at (a petrol) station in the Hotoro area, badly injuring 10 people. Three of them died in hospital, while seven are undergoing treatment”.
Later on Monday, a female teenage blew up herself at the Trade Fair Complex along zoo Road in a second case of suicide bombing ,reports said.
Another female suicide bomber had detonated a bomb near the North -West University in the City as she was apparently stopped from reaching her target.Some security operatives were injured in that explosion.
Same Sunday, a bomb was reportedly thrown into a Catholic Church killing about 5 people.Eight others were injured.
The first publicly acknowledged case of female suicide bombing during this ongoing insurgency was recorded at a military formation in Gombe when a lady blew herself up in front of a barracks some months ago.The military said it averted a female suicide bomb attack on its facility .
The military later arrested some suspected female Boko Haram members.
