#TrackNigeria: Security agencies in Edo have deployed a combined team of no fewer than 15,000 personnel for Saturday’s elections, Mr Olusegun Odumosu, the Acting Commissioner of Police in the state has said.

Odumosu said this after the security agencies’ combined military exercise codenamed “Show of Force”.

He said that the personnel were from the Police, Army, Immigration, Air Force, DSS, Prisons, the Federal Road Safety Commission and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.

According to him, the exercise is a demonstration of the synergy among security agencies in the state.

He also said all deployed personnel would move to the various polling units assigned to them with effect from Thursday.

He gave an assurance that the security agencies would ensure a level playing ground for all, and advised the electorate to come out and exercise their franchise on Saturday.

He, however, advised the various candidates to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship at the end of the elections, while also calling on them to advice their followers to desist from any wanton act. (NAN)
