When Patrick Efe Ometan, 25, completed his youth service programme last year, he was clear what he wanted to do. With an entrepreneurial mindset, he wanted to facilitate an event where budding entrepreneurs, designers, businessmen and traders can meet to showcase their products and services. Back in school he had dabbled into fashion design, sold insurance and sundry wares and along the way had come across youngsters like himself who have fabulous products and ideas but have not had the benefit of exposure or a platform that identifies with their dream. This is what he sets out to explore in Shopaholic Sunday, a one-day event holding at Bannilux Event Centre, Commercial Avenue, Yaba in Lagos on Sunday September 30.  The event is expected to host no fewer than 50 sales points and will hold from noon to 7.00pm.

Ometan describes Shopaholic Sunday, which he plans to be a monthly programme, as ‘an all-inclusive event where quality meets affordability’.  Exhibitors at the fair have promised discounted prices for their wares. The event is targeted at business people with extraordinary products / services that need extensive exposure. Those with unsold stock will also find the sales event worthwhile as customers come prepared for a deal.

Ometan says publicity for the event has been high and expects a large turnout. Entrepreneurs and businesses keen on exploiting the market potential can contact the organisers by email: shopaholicsunday@gmail.com or Patrick on 08031579558.
