Mr Chuks Ezewuzie, Special Adviser to Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra, on Disability Matters, has urged physically challenged persons to embrace the COVID-19 vaccination exercise in the state.
Ezewuzie made the call in an interview with The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Awka.
He also urged physically challenged persons in the state to strictly observe all established preventive measures against Coronavirus.
The governor’s aide said that physically challenged people were more at risks during disease outbreaks.
“I urge them to take advantage of this opportunity to get vaccinated, we have the vaccine available in the state.
“The fight against COVID-19 is an all-inclusive action, it requires the support of every reasonable individual , we all need to be part of it.
“Apart from ensuring that they are vaccinated, there is need for them to always obey established prevention protocols,” he said.
Ezewuzie further said that COVID-19 had become a reality that humans must have to live with, saying, “we must have to treat this with utmost urgency.” (NAN)
