Rev. Henry Ndukuba, the Bishop of Nigeria Anglican Communion Church, Gombe Diocese, has called on politicians to trust in God and play the game according to the rules so as to ensure national development.

Ndukuba made this call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Gombe.

He described 2018 as a year of divine repositioning of the country politically.

Ndukuba said that politicians would start to struggle among themselves in order to assume power by 2019.

According to him, it is not everybody who can get into power, hence the need for them to exercise some caution.

“As much as possible, let us embrace peace because as a nation and as a people, we cannot make any advancement or progress without the help of God,” he said.

Ndukuba further advised the wealthy individuals and public servants to assist the less privileged by supporting them, no matter how little.

“Those of us, who are employers of labour, should be merciful to our employees.

“Also, those who have power over our resources should manage the resources with the fear of God and with the understanding that God gives us the resources with love,” he said. (NAN)
