(Updated with pictures)A bomb explosion has occurred in Sabon Gari area of Kano in Northern Nigeria.The bomb reportedly went off in a crowded part of the city,popularly called New Road Motor Park.
The exact casualty figure could not be determined immediately,but reports said several people were killed.Sabon Gari area has experienced several bomb explosions in Kano.
Giving an update on the incident later, the Police in Kano said one woman died and 8 people were injured but eye witnesses claimed they saw more people presumably dead being evacuated from the scene of the explosion.
Today’s explosion came a day after a twin bomb explosions in Kaduna.The first explosion in Kaduna on Wednesday targeted a convoying of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi.
A second bomb blast in Kaduna Wednesday targeted the convoy of former head of state ,General Muhammadu Buhari.Though three of his aides were injured, Buhari escaped what he later described as an assassination attempt.
