Atiku Restructures Gotel Radio and TV

Gotel Communications Limited owners of Gotel Radio and Gotel TV based in Yola, Adamawa State capital has commenced a restructuring process aimed at positioning the broadcast organization for a first – class global communication organisation.

A statement by the management of the station issued in Yola said two General Managers/CEOs were replaced and handsomely paid off. An interim Managing Director, Mr. Joshua Hassan, has been appointed. Engineer Joshua is a retired Director with Nigerian Television Authority, NTA.

The statement said the vision of the founder of Radio/TV Gotel, Atiku Abubakar is to create a broadcasting standard comparable to CNN and Al-Jazeera.

In line with these goals, it announced that the Radio and Television station, in collaboration with American University of Nigeria (AUN), CNN and A24 based in Kenya, are working to prepare Gotel for satellite communication of global standard.

A24 is a content development company that provides training capability for broadcasters in its area of specialty, including documentary productions and providing correspondents for television networking.

Radio/TV Gotel was founded by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as part of his vision to provide private broadcasting of international standard.
