The Abia State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Apostle General Emmanuel Agomuo has described some Pentecostal church pastors as fetish and fake
He disclosed this in an interview with Newsdiaryonline in Umuahia noting that the major problem the body is facing is the activity of some fake Pentecostal church pastors whom e said are fetish and fake.
Agomuo who is the Zonal head of Cherubim and Seraphim,South East explained that the investigations carried and police reports show that some Pentecostal churches are indeed false and fetish. He regretted that CAN does not have full control over members because of freedom of worship which is enshrined in the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria. He also lamented over the proliferation of churches in the country.
“Some Pentecostal churches are false and fetish, we have received so many reports and had on some occasions dug out skulls from churches, some of their so acclaimed miracles are fetish and fake and that is why we advised Christians to be careful,”CAN boss said.
He defended the Cherubim and Seraphim often referred to as a white garment church noted for wearing white gown and use of candles stressing that there is nothing fetish about it as it was part of doctrines of holy book which every other church is also using .He also added that Bishops and Reverends of Catholic, Methodist,Anglican churches also wear white gowns and also light candles during worshiping.
The Apostle General maintained that his church will not accept money before praying for you and that they adhere strictly to the teachings of the bible.
Agomuo also condemned men of God who parade fleet of exotic cars and jets while their Church members are suffering in abject poverty, He described such men of God who taxed members of their churches and end up buying fleets of luxurious cars as worldly.
He maintained that he is not against men of God who have one or two decent cars, but he is totally against those who live fat to the detriment of their members.
Agomuo who is also the zonal head of South East, Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim further condemned the in fighting in some churches pointing that what happened in Assemblies of God Church and so many other churches where pastors had to go to court to settle their differences was not a healthy one for the church, saying that some pastors even go as far as using weapons to threatened themselves.
He described the death of Pa Lazarus Onyelonu who became the first Igbo man to be made the prelate and head the Cherubim and Seraphim church (Papa Aladura) as a great loss to Nigeria and the Church
“Pa Lazarus Onyelonu was highly spiritual. During his life, time he healed the sick including several mad people. Any time he is in any event including during rainy season, rest assumed that it would not rain, that was one of his rare gifts”.

He further disclosed that CAN is really worried at what is happening in some churches and has decided to organize seminar for men of God to properly conduct themselves and to desist from ungodly things.
