Senator Danjuma Goje, an All Progressives Congress APC chieftain has been placed under House arrest, in Kashere, his village in Gombe state, by armed soldiers, who claimed they were acting on directive from Abuja,his media assistant,Lateef Bamgbose said in a statement Saturday evening.
The statement said further that “While no reason has been given for his arrest, he has been detained with all his aides in his residence in his personal residence, in Gombe.”
“The distinguished senator has been under house arrest for more than five hours and there is no sign that he will regain his freedom soon”,Bambgbose said.
Newsdiaryonline learnt that Goje has been under arrest since 2.00pm Saturday.
