Governor Muktar Ramalan Yero has explained that he picked Nuhu Bajoga as his deputy governor because of his age and experience. He spoke as the new deputy governor was sworn into office in Kaduna.
“I chose Ambassador Bajoga because of his age, for the benefit of the state because they say age is experience and we are going to work together harmoniously for the betterment of the state,” Yero said after the Kaduna state Chief Judge administered the oath of office on Bajoga, at the banquet hall of
the Gen. Hassan Usman Katsina House.
Yero also said, “you will never find me difficult to approach because I know the office of the Deputy Governor and I will do my best to improve on the way I left it.” Yero said Yakowa’s 3-point agenda aimed at security, unity and development of the state would remain alive in his tenure.
Kaduna State House of Assembly had at an executive session on Thursday cleared Bajoga for the position in spite of opposition from a section of the southern Kaduna people who said he should retain his position as the People’s Democratic party (PDP) Chairman in the state.
