Tambuwal Condoles with Police

Speaker of the House of Representatives,  Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has condoled with Nigeria Police Force over the death of it’s officers in a Helicopter crash in Jos, Plateau State yesterday.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Imam Imam, Tambuwal said he received the news of the air mishap with great sadness, adding that the loss of the officers, among them DIG John Haruna, came at a time the force needed it’s best hands to confront the security challenges facing the country.

According to the Speaker, the officers who lost their lives in the crash did not die in vain.

“They were gallant officers who met their deaths while searching for lasting peace to the myriad of security challenges confronting the country in general, and Plateau State in particular.

“I wish to condolence with the Inspector General of Police and the immediate families of the officers who lost their lives in the crash. We in the House ofRepresentatives, like other Nigerians, are proud of their efforts.”

The Speaker also urged the Police authorities to investigate the cause of the crash  with a view to preventing similar occurrence in the future.
