2019: Aisha begins door-to-door campaign, solicits votes for Buhari

#TrackNigeria: The wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, on Friday embarked on a door-to-door campaign, seeking for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in the Feb. 16 Presidential Election.

Aisha, who was represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Administration, Dr Hajo Sani, led the campaign team to the Palace of Gomo of Kuje Area Council of the FCT, Alhaji Haruna Tanko Jibrin, to solicit his support and royal blessings.

The wife of the President told the royal father of the numerous projects embarked upon by the Buhari administration, especially in the areas of security, railways, roads, social investment programme, agriculture and the fight against corruption.

She, therefore, appealed to the traditional ruler to sensitise his subjects to the need to vote for President Muhammadu Buahri in the forthcoming election to enable him to consolidate on the ongoing projects.

The Gomo of Kuje, Jibrin, expressed gratitude to the Buhari administration for restoring peace and security, especially in Kuje Area Council which had its share of bomb explosions in the past.

The royal father prayed to almighty to grant the president and his wife good health and ability to continue to deliver good governance to all Nigerians.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that APC supporters, mostly women and youths, besieged the venue to welcome the delegation.

NAN also reports that the supporters sang solidarity songs, using different inscriptions to express their support for the re-election of Buhari.

On the team were the wife of former Military Administrator of Lagos State, Mrs Munira Buba Marwa and the wife of the Chief of Staff to the President, Hajiya Hauwa-Kulu Abba Kyari, among others. (NAN)
