Rivers State Governor and Chairman, Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, says the people of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) of the State are victory-loving people whose support will assure victory for the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2015 polls.
Governor Amaechi said this today during the inauguration of the APC Secretariat in Omoku, headquarters of ONELGA.
Represented by his deputy, Engr. Tele Ikuru, the Governor noted that the ONELGA people are known for always triumphing at elections, charging them to remain steadfast in their support for the APC as it has in its fold people who have been leading them to victory over the years.
“ONELGA people are not losers. They are victorious people. Your second name is victory. Do not follow wrong leaders who would lead you to the wrong place. If you want to be in the winning team, follow those who can win election,” he said, maintaining that APC is the party that will deliver Rivers State and change Nigeria.
Earlier, the Senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District, Senator Wilson Ake, described the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a bunch of chronic political failures who do not appreciate good things, stressing that the people will continue to stand by the Governor and deliver the APC in 2015.
Speaking, the Executive Chairman of ONELGA, Dr. Augustine Ahiamadu, said ONELGA is 100% APC, stressing that the people will unite and give the Governor the needed support to win Rivers State for the APC.
Also speaking, Chairman of the APC in ONELGA, Mr. Felix Ejechi, charged ward party Chairmen not to relent in mobilizing more support to guarantee victory for the party in the upcoming 2015 General Elections.
The event was well attended by traditional rulers and party faithful who defied to rain to add colour to the event.
