The Kano State House of Assembly has constituted an 8-man panel to probe allegations against Emir of Kano,Muhammadu Sanusi II.
Reports said the panel will look into expenditures of the Kano Emirate Council.The emir is also accused of making unguarded statements.
But observers believe that Sanusi’s criticisms of President Muhammadu Buhari’s policies may have been the major cause of his problems.
Even more, the emir also may be a victim of local politics in Kano state where the relationship between Rabiu Kwankwaso the former – who installed Sanusi as Emir, and Governor Abdullahi Ganduje- has been frosty.
It has also been observed that he emir’s recent criticism of some state governors’ activities including that of Kano may have worsened his plight.
The probe panel has been raised despite reports that the emir has apologized to Governor Ganduje.
