The Sokoto State Marshal, created by the State government to assist security agencies traffic and crime control as well as environmental cleanliness has received nine motorcycles to boost its operations, including supervision.
Distributing the motorcycles to the nine Sector Command in Sokoto on Wednesday, the Commandant of the Marshals, Saidu Madawaki warned sectional heads to ensure the use of the motorcycles for the purpose they were provided.
“As you receive these motorcycles, you must ensure they are used for the purpose they have been provided by the state government,” Madawaki warned adding, “Anyone found to abuse their use will be sanctioned and appropriate measure taken against him.”
He commended the state government for the gesture while assuring that “the motorcycles will go a long way in improving the services of the Marshals, especially in the area of supervision.”
