The violence in Plateau state escalated this evening as two RPGs (Rocket Propelled Grenades) were launched into Bukuru, Jos .The RPGs were launched around 6.00pm and they landed around STF sector 5 and Clerk quarters.It was not clear who did it and what the exact targets were.
Captain Salisu Mustapha, spokesman for the STF who confirmed the attacks said so far there has been no report of casualty.He added that the grenades exploded mid air.
The RPG attacksmay signal a further escalation of the crisis in the state.Earlier today, a blast followed by gun fire was reported near an Islamic School in Bukuru.One boy was killed in the earlier blast.
