The much anticipated election of chairman of Board of Trustees of the ruling PDP has been postponed till January 2013.A meeting of the BOT held at Aso Rock , Nigeria’s seat of power, reports said, ended without an election as many had been made to believe.The postponement will allow aspirants time to campaign for the post.
At least three top contenders were known ahead of tonight’s meeting to be in the race ,namely Tony Anenih known as Mr Fix It;Ahmadu Ali ,former national chairman of the party and Ken Nnamani,former Senate President.
The move to elect a new BOT chairman follows the surprise resignation of for President Olusegun Obasanjo much earlier.
