The African Student Union Parliament (ASUP) has conferred an award of excellence on the Airport Manager, Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport (SMCA)Owerri, Mrs. Rejoice Ndudinachi, mni.
A statement Friday said the Award was given to her for her exceptional leadership qualities in Aviation industry. Also, it was in recognition of her role as a philanthropist as well as contributions to human and capital development. Furthermore, the statement said the honour was given “most especially(because of) the positive transformation of SMCA owerri.”
She has therefore been inducted as member of the organization, the statement added.
ASUP is a body which covers all students within the 54 African Union AU countries and its award recognizes hardwork and dedication to national service.
The Pan-African Distinguished Leadership Prize For Excellence is bestowed on
individuals that promote African values, especially individuals that exemplify
the ideal of living for others, international harmony, a responsible
public media relation and establishment of a culture of peace transcending
race, national and religious barriers.
While responding, the Airport Manager dedicated the Award to God and also to FAAN Managing Director, Engr.
Saleh Dunoma, FAAN Directors and the entire management staff of SMICA.
The event was attended by Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport management
staff, airline officials and concessionaires at the airport.
