Nigeria’s National Assembly has in accordance with public outcry released the breakdown of its own 2017 budget to the public.
This was done shortly after the national budget was passed by the Senate and House of Representatives.
The release of NASS budget was in line with Senate President Bukola Saraki’s pledge ensure ‘Open NASS’ .Saraki has always insisted that this NASS which he is chairman has been carrying out measures that are unprecedented.
From what has been released NASS has an 2017 entire budget of N125 billion while that of 2016 was N115 billion.
