At held a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, Dr. Babatunde Kayode, Executive Director of Restore Hope for the Boy Child Initiative, described the President’s intervention as “a victory for human rights.”

He expressed gratitude for the President’s leadership, highlighting that the release aligns with international human rights standards and is a significant step toward justice. “We commend His Excellency’s commitment to our cause, as this move underscores the administration’s dedication to addressing the concerns raised by protesters,” Dr. Kayode remarked.

He emphasized the positive impact of the minors’ release, noting that it brings relief to affected families and communities and restores hope in the pursuit of justice for young, vulnerable citizens.

Dr. Kayode acknowledged the President’s swift response to the situation, which he says demonstrates compassion, empathy, and a commitment to safeguarding the rights of all citizens, particularly the boy child.

“This action,” he continued, “sends a strong message about the importance of protecting minors’ rights and sets a positive precedent for future government actions. We are hopeful that this gesture marks a step forward in addressing the grievances that ignited the protests.”

Dr. Kayode concluded the press conference by reiterating the organization’s dedication to advocating for justice for minors and protecting their rights.
