The Kabba sons and daughters of Kogi State have concluded arrangement to organize a grand reception in honour of their son, the Arch Bishop of Abuja Catholic Arch Diocese, His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, on his recent elevation to a Cardinal in the Catholic faith.
A statement issued by the group and signed by Kola Ologbondiyan noted that “the elevation of Cardinal Onaiyekan has once again shot Kabba into limelight spiritually and temporal. Our son and spiritual leader, Cardinal Onaiyekan has brought honour to Okunland, Kogi State and the nation at large.”
“He is our worthy ambassador; the symbol of our humility, determination and service to God and mankind. With his elevation, His Eminence has raised the hope of a better tomorrow for our land.”
The Group further said the Kabba Community will host the Cardinal in a grand style at the St. Augustine College, Kabba on Saturday, April 20, 2013 in a show of love and gratitude for the honour he has brought to the people.
